I wouldn't put any more fish in such a small tank you need atleast a 5 gallon for any tank mates. As far as water changes if you have a filter you should never change all the water only about 20 % once a week using a small gravel vacuum or a turkey baster if you can't get a small enough vacuum.Try reading this article on cycling fish tanks, cycling is one of the most important things to know about in fish keeping and not knowing about it is often a cause of failure for new fish keepers.

You can't get anymore fish for such a small tank, but If you moved up to maybe a 5 gallon tank, then you could get 4 guppies or tetras...just make sure the guppies don't have long fins
Most people think that bettas can't live with any fish, period...but they can, small calm schooling fish are fine with bettas, just as long as they dont have flowing fins, or are fin nippers
So, no more fish in the small tank, no less than a 5 gallon tank if you want some schooling fish

White cloud mountain minnows, would go nicely with a betta fish. depending on the tank you have betta fish can go with alot of other fish. but in that small of tank without a heater or filter the only other is the white cloud about 3 of them any more is to much. You also would need to do water change at least once a week if not more. if you do decide to upgrade to something like a 20 gal tank with a filter and heater tetras go great with bettas.

I really wouldn't suggest any other fish in the tank with your Betta simply because it's such a small tank and because most small fish do best in groups of 6 or more, you would run into space problems. At most I would say 1-2 pygmy cory catfish. You could however add a small piece of Java Moss and a few freshwater shrimps. Several species of freshwater shrimps are very colorful and breed readily in a small tank. They would add both color and activity to the tank while also help to keep the tank clean as they search the bottom for uneaten food bits.
You can get color enhancing food if you prefer. It works best on fish with red coloration, but will bring out the color in most any fish. it will not add color to the fish, but will help the fishes natural coloration to show well.

A 2.65 gallon tank is quite small for more then 1 fish. And although there are some fish that a betta will get along ok with, it's really not a good idea to do it, especially in a tank that small. Think about maybe putting a live plant in with the betta to spruce up the tank a little. A betta is also liable to kill smaller fish anyway, as they are aggressive fish. I think you'll find you enjoy the betta just by himself. My betta has a great little personality and gets all excited and happy when I talk to him or do things around his tank that he can watch. It's cute! Best of luck and enjoy! ;o)

Definitly do NOT put other betta fish in a tank with each other. only one fish can be in a tank. If you put to in, one will kill the other. They fight. I have a betta fish and 6 goldfish (used to). I should know. Feed it twice a day.

He will not get along with any other fish, he will just go out of his way to chase and bite their fins/tails. Normally they keep a beta in a small little tank all alone or a fish bowl because of their wanting to fight. You can get a little insert that holds onto the edge of the tank so it is submerged in the tank but it keeps the beta to himself in his own little spot. Normally you feed a few flakes in the morning and a couple at night are good.
