I'd say Penn State has to worry about Wisconsin and contending for the Big Ten title before contending for a national championship. And remember, it was Florida International a member of the lowly Sun Belt conference.

The only surprise in this game was that a brawl didn't break out, given that it was FIU.
Considering Florida International is probably one of the three worst teams in Division I-A and could easily lose to half of the Division III schools, I wouldn't be overly hyped about blowing them out.
By the way, the other two worst teams in Division I-A are Buffalo and Temple, which is kind of suspicious since they're both on Penn State's schedule this year. Nothing like playing three teams that were a combined 3-33 last year.
If PSU gets "hosed" out of a national title game, it might be because they don't play anybody (that and the fact that despite Michigan's loss to Appalachian State, Penn State still hasn't beaten them since 1996, and probably won't this year either).

dude, I'm a fan but that's a silly question. I think PSU goes 13-0 but isn't in the title game because ND sux and Michigan lost to App State so there's no way PSU moves from 17 to 1 or 2.

I think PSU has a chance to win it all. I have them to win the big ten, with Wisc a close second. If PSU runs the table, it wouldn't be the first time they got hosed out a the championship game.

Unfortunately, I couldn't watch the game because of the ridiculous Big Ten Network vs Comcast dispute, but I think Penn State is starting out with a great team, and could go really far.

i think FIU was winless last year, way to get pumped up beating one of the worse schools at least you did not lose like michigan
