This match is not the best idea. Sagittarius seem so worldly, cultured, and educated, so versed on a wide variety of topics, that it is no wonder you were mesmerized by their sparkling conversation. Normally, not a good match, but my parents were this coupling and they made it work 28 years before my dad passed away. Cancer is more of a homebody. They like to stay at home, stay with loved ones, and nurture the family. They are very loving, tender, and caring. However, they are also very emotional, moody, and they take everything quite personally. Sagittarius is the adventurer. They want to see the world and explore all it's glory! They are independent, philosophical, and unpredictable. However, they can be detached and flighty. This could cause problems. If the Cancer can try to break out of its shell, explore the world with the Sag, and realize that the Sag's blunt explanations aren't meant to be hurtful, and the Sag can settle down a bit, enjoy quiet, alone time with the Cancer, and nurture the Cancer's emotions, it could work out real well. Also, throw in a Libra and Virgo in there. That's what me and my sister are, respectfully. We helped smooth out my parent's arguments. But although astrology will say this is a bad pairing, I'm a big believer in the Sagittarius-Cancer couple! Good luck!

Cancer & Sagittarius:
Sagittarius will expect Cancer to follow along with his/her ideas and very active social life joining in as much fun (Sagittarius' idea of fun!) as possible. On occasions when Cancer has had it and wishes to stay home, put the feet up, and watch television, Sagittarius will try to talk Cancer into accompanying him/her. Should this fail, Sagittarius will go out alone and find 'other' excitement. There is a vast difference in natures here and the likelihood of being compatible is all but impossible, unless there are mitigating aspects in other areas of their charts. Sagittarius is outgoing and forthright which will make cancer uneasy. Cancer is too needy for Sagittarius. On the good side, they are both generous people.

i'm a cancer , we do get along sometimes but sagittarius does not like to be controlled that much so no sorry . but they are good with friends. cancers are more you know home ppl then getting what we want and changing the world . thats what the crab does stay in the shell fo the day to some bugs them or tick them off , then we start to be pinchy ;)
