No way.
I'd rather donate to charities who are helping someone other than themselves.

I'm a big Jerry Lewis fan. I watched the telethon on and off throughout the day yesterday. He looks very healthy now that he has lost all that weight. My father died of Lou Gehrig's disease back in 1976. I'm glad to see MDA devoting a good amount of time to ALS these days. I love the old Jerry Lewis movies. The post Dean Martin movies, mostly.

People seem to think that Jerry Lewis made a pig of himself, but what they don't realize is that he was truly ill for years and had to be on massive quantities of steroids which caused him to gain weight and bloat. I've never met the man in person, but he is one of the celebreties I would love to meet. He is an angel in my book, working to raise money for such a wonderful cause. My mother has MD and I've seen all the wonderful things MDA can do first-hand. I am currently volunteering with the local production of Telethon, like I have for the past 24 years.

i wouldn't walk across the street to spit on jerry lewis if he were on fire. he is a fake and a phony. he made some very nasty comments about one of our states some years ago and never apologized. they couldn't pay me enough money to go see him at any of his so called telethons. as far as i am concerned he is an arrogant self centered S O B and he can take his telethon and stick it where the won't shine and i don't mean in his ear or his shoe!!!!

He apparently said Merv deserved to die. I hear a lot of stories about what a jerk he is. I am watching it right now, but it's been on 10 min and getting old. What about a Cancer telethon? Or diabetes?
