You cant get scholarships that pay for schools like that. Just work hard and you should start getting letters. Always set high goals, and wherever you end up good luck.

It should be incredibly easy to be on some D3 football team. If you're a starter and do well at your position, you'll get some letters. I was undersized for my position (5'10" 270 lb guard), but I played hard and was an All-Conference player both my Junior and Senior years, so I got letters from probably about 10 D3 schools. D3 can't give you an athletic scholarship, but they'll work hard to get you some other BS scholarship (citizenship scholarship, good will scholarship, etc.). I know at least two schools would have given me those kinds of scholarships to total nearly a full ride. One of my buddies didn't play the entire year and made many mistakes but is now close to being a starter, and he's a freshman in a D3 college. So, if you work hard and have your coach talk to schools for you, you should have no problem finding a school that wants you.

Not hard if you show any talent. Identify some D3 teams you like (close to home...they will be more likely to come see you). Most wont offer anything near a full scholarship but a partial is better than nothing (if you cant even get a partial see if a team would take you as a preferred walk on....most preferred get some scholarship money eventually). To get noticed you need to talk to your coach and see who he knows locally (most coaches have lots of local college connections) and also send a highlight film you can put together with someone from your media department at school to any college you would consider along with a letter of interest.Strong isnt much of an issue...the willingness to show you would put in the work to get stronger and be a team guy will be more important to a college coach (and some talent would be a big help). Good luck!

Divison 3.. send film and keep getting ahold of the coach or coaches. Call around to whatever schools are on your list and ask them how many players they got in your position. This will give you an idea of where you stand before even showing up to the school. If they only got one strong saftey and thats your position.. you could get some money just by filling a spot on the team.
Plus there are some Division 3 schools that have football programs that are struggling to stay alive, I suggest you look for one of these if your really desperate for some playing time.. I even know a few schools thats accept players that havent played a single down in high school football.
Let me know if you need some anymore help!

D3 schools do not offer athletic scholarships. Only academic. Do not let that scare you though. They still need players just go about it in the proper way. First you need to take a vist. D3 schools usually do not have a big recruiting budget so You will need to pay for that on your own. But an unofficial visit is a great wat to get in front of a coach and start the process. Also, on Jan 1, register with FAFTA. Get all the finalcial aid you posasible can. In a nutshell, you absolutely can. But here is a lot of work to do in a short time. try www.sportsworx.com and they can help you.

Your chances of being recruited will be difficult. What you should do is wend some game tape to the school you would like to attend. If you are not playing much,do not worry.Pick a school that is good for what you want to major in and than try out for the football team. Most D-3 schools consist of walkons.

yea your not likely to get looked at. best way to get noticed is to send a film of your game tape. since you said oyu probably wont play-best way is to be a walk on. yeah D3 is alow but still-no game tape=not much more then a hello letter.sorry to say-but as a walk on you could still make it.
