Good golly, don't ever mess with any document issued by a bank or the post office. They take those things very seriously.

If you made it out to the wrong name, go back to the place where you purchased the money order, explain the situation, and ask if you can turn it in for a replacement.

no, you need to go back to the place where you purchased the money order if a mistake was made, and they should be able to void it and make you another. always keep you moneyorder reciepts!

If you haven't sent it, just shred it and get a new one or if you have already sent it ask for a refund and apologize.
