I choose the Republican party which is clearly the first one. The problem is liberals hold conservatives to a perfect standard. This is impossible to attain in politics by the very nature of the beast.

All political parties have high ideals and members who fall short. I don't belong to any political party because I disagree with them all on one or more important issues.

I wonder what you mean by "celebrates immorality." Pacifists think it is immoral to fight in a war I might think is just; religious conservatives think it is immoral to be homosexual.

I won't join the Democrats or Greens because they think the unborn are expendable for the sake of reproductive freedom rather than working to find a nonlethal way to terminate unwanted pregnancies... but I don't think they celebrate abortion. I won't join the Republicans because they think an occasional innocent person is expendable for the sake of whatever deterrence we gain from capital punishment, but I don't think Republicans celebrate war or executions. While military parades and ceremonies may appear to be celebrating war, the intent is to celebrate the willingness of
people to defend freedom rather than celebrate anyones death.

I would join a party based upon the principals expressed at http://www.consistent-life.org and outlined at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nonlethalalternatives , but I'm sure such a party would have its share of scandals if it were established.

bill i think you have it wrong the dems just have a different set of ideals. besides what is morally superior to the dems?
the answer is in a quote by Shakespeare "nothing is good or bad thinking makes it so."
why is republican moral values better? because you think they are. maybe to you the belief of pro-life and pro-death penalty works maybe not. i do not know what you believe but the republican party fits your beliefs so you think they are better because to you they are. the dems are not actually immoral they just have different morals
