The most honest, unbiased, and objective opinion you're going to get would come from Consumer Reports. In their September 2007 issue, they rate the full-sized crew-cab pickup trucks in the following order: Chevy Avalanche > Toyota Tundra > Chevy Silverado > Nissan Titan > Ford F-150 > Dodge Ram. The top four were rated "very good", and the bottom two only "good". Among the heavy-duty diesel pickups, it was Chevy Silverado > Dodge Ram > Ford F-250. The Chevy barely made it to the "very good" category, and the other two barely made it to the "good" category. Only the Toyota Tundra received a rating of "very good" in terms of reliability. The others were either new, or lower in rating. So, if you're going to stick to domestic, go for the Chevrolet brand. If you want the best bang for the buck, go for the Toyota Tundra, which had the lowest list price and the best mileage, as well as a "CU Recommended" rating.

The ford f150 while being the best seller also has had the most recalls 152 since 1990 to be exact. http://www.mycarstats.com/auto_recalls/auto_recalls.asp The earlier heritage edition f150 did extremely bad in crash testing.I have seen newer chevy gmc trucks with door pin problems at 1 year old.Dodge be it a 100 or a cummins just seems to be the best truck and correct me if I'm wrong are rated as the longest lasting from Jd power. The cummins has been around the longest of any diesel engines in the big three's trucks.I think when people look towards ford or chevy from dodge they just want to have something different but the dodge is a proven vehicle.Nissan titan and the toyota tundra both have all aluminum v8's in them and I feel that is a major flaw in there design.Work trucks when really being worked run hot and aluminum warps when overheated which is easy to do when working a truck really hard. The Titan is rated the lowest of all fullsize trucks for reliabilty and I believe the new tundra will join it shortly.Remember even the japanese have admitted they don't build as good a full size truck as we do.Good luck with whatever you choose but I would recomend staying away from the unreliable gas hog Japanese trucks.

"Better" is a subjective term. Everyone has their own opinion, just as everyone has a bellybutton!
The best selling vehicle in the Country for the past several years has been the Ford F100 series pickups, but does that mean they are "better" than Dodge, GMC or Chevy? I don't know; I prefer the "big truck" styling of the Dodge (but then, I have always preferred Chrysler Corp. vehicles).
Some people swear by their GMC or Chevys; others swear at them.
All I know is, Ford is the best seller, Dodge are the best looking and Chevy and GMC make very capable vehicles.
By the bye, you neglected the Toyota Tundra which is a hot seller and a huge success. Thanks. Good luck!

I think they all are decent vehicles I have driven all three and I personally like the F150
supercrew it is a nice riding QUIET truck with ample power and accessories The disadvantage to the Dodge would be gas mileage I have a relative with a Dodge Ram 1500 that gets about 12 mpg The new Chevy trucks are in my opinion ugly
