If you do give tip to your painter, how much should you give tip? We have two painters who are painting our house on the outside and they are doing wonderful job. I was wondering what I can show them gratitude beside what they are getting paid for.

no I would not they have already inflated their cost in the bill.

I tipped the guy that painted my house. I knew he wasn't trying to overcharge me and he did a really good job and I felt like he deserved a kudos. I have a medium size two story home and gave the guy an extra 100 bucks.

I do heating service and it goes a long way when someone tips us. But the best thing to do is when they are there always give them drinks and such or even if you feed em they will really apreciate that too. Even if they dont take what you try to give them trust me they will like you a heck of a lot more than if you didnt.

That is so thoughtful of you. My husband wanted to give the guys that were roofing our house something extra to show our appreciation for a great job. Instead of extra money he fixed them an awesome meal on the grill with all the trimmings. Boy did they appreciate it and both said most people would treat them like dirt. Warmed our hearts.

as a rule of thumb no but when some one tips me I go the extra mile the next time they call I'll do more than that is expected my last job I was tipped $ 100 but she is one of my regular customers

I wouldn't give a cash tip, but maybe do something nice for them. Pick up a pizza and some cold sodas or maybe gift cards for Lowes or something... or bake something yummy!!

Buy them lunch and tell them they are doing great. I agree though, you don't have to tip unless they are going above and beyond just painting.

sure you can tip them if you like their work, I am sure that they won't turn you down, and it will give them an uplift and make them feel better about themselves.
