I mean, I watched all his performances, and none of them were amazing or anything, but they weren't horrible. What do you guys think? Was there really a big enough reason to make fun on him so much?

Maybe there wasn't as big a reason to make fun of him in of himself - but there also wasn't a big enough reason to vote for him. The show was about finding the best talent, not about tolerating people who "weren't that horrible". If it were, than most of the people in the US would be recording stars. But no one would feel inspired enough to actually buy their albums.

The show is a little of a lie....If you look at his audition, he was unfriggin believable!! (Remember that he came with his twin sister) His audition was better than alot of performances during the competition. Moving along, when the competition comes up, he sounds Absolutely NOTHING like his audition. If you google it, you will find it more than a Little odd that a large amount of talent seems to have just disappeared in a matter of days. After the Paris and Chris thing, I try my best not to watch at all, minus the auditions...

I never thought he was terrible.

There was no good reason to make fun of him.How is it he made it to the top 7 if he was so bad, hmmm?

I'm not going to watch American Idol this year or ever again because of the way they treated Sanjaya.

If they have to resort to picking on a 17 year old kid to boost ratings the show is all but over.

He was not a great singer, but honestly most of the people with record contracts sound a lot worse than he does. They just have the magic of technology. Overall he was ok. He did not deserve to be picked on the way he was.
