Of the 50 states, Texas is the only one that was ever a country. The Wisconsin region was a "country" in terms of indian tribes and territory, but Wisconsin was never an actual country otherwise.

No it wasn't. Unlike Texas, Wisconsin did not leave another country, become its only little country, then join the United States. In the case of Wisconsin, it had been part of a number of different territorial organizations, right before being organized into its own territory it had been part of the Michigan Territory. Iowa was split off and became a territory by itself, and the areas not included in what became the state of Wisconsin eventually became part of the Minnesota Territory in 1849.

Of all the states, only 2 were once independent countries. Texas was a republic. Hawaii was a monarchy. So the answer to your question is no.
