I recently started a small website writing about an interest of mine. After making a few bucks when people clicked on my links, I began to have visions of a day where I would eventually cash in big. Even though this vision was a pipe dream, the cash I made from it destroyed the enjoyment I once drew from the experience.

How many stories are like yours.
Success can be a burden
Some things you used to enjoy start become a chore to the point of being tedious and annoying.

You reach this breaking point and ask yourself "what is this chain ,this yoke , this burden that I have wound voluntarily on my neck? Aughh, this not freaking fun anymore"

Get a hold of yourself.

Money can be a more powerful motivator because it can generate feelings of pleasure. In your case the financial gain was not the source of your pleasure. Perhaps the IDEA of financial gain and fantasizing about achieving that goal was the source of your pleasure. Your enjoyment of the process may have ended because you reached the goal and once the newness wore off you were left unfulfilled. Time to move on to the next "pipe dream".

check your internal value regarding money and the ppl who have it. Seems that you were taught that ppl with money were all crooks, bad ppl, money is evil, etc., etc., and you do not want to be one of these ppl. All human activities are for one of two purposes....to seek pleasure or to avoid pain....
can be physical, emotional or spiritual
evidententially the money you earned (through honest effort) caused pain for you at some level of your being
