Yes, I do. That was one of the reasons why I did not take Vince Young in my fantasy draft.

The players on the Madden Cover

Before 1999 John Madden was on the Cover.

1999- Garrison Hearst
In 1998 Hearst had his best year. However but on the first play of the divisional game versus the Atlanta Falcons, he suffered a bad ankle break.

2000-Barry Sanders
However, a week before training camp began in 1999 Barry Sanders retired.

2001-Eddie George
In 2001 AFC Divisional Playoff game George had a costly fumble that lost the game for Tennessee. he was never the same after that.

2002-Daunte Culpepper
Culpepper threw for nearly 4,000 yards and 33 touchdowns while rushing for 470 yards and 7 more scores in the 2000 season. In 2001 Culpepper struggled with turnovers in the first 11 games of the 2001 season, throwing 13 interceptions and only 14 touchdown passes. A back injury ended his season in the 11th game.

2003- Marshall Faulk
Faulk suffered an ankle injury, missing five games.

2004- Michael Vick
Vick was injured during a preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens, suffering a fractured right fibula.

2005- Ray Lewis
In Week 6 of the 2005 season, Ray Lewis' was injury. It was the only time in his carrer he did not get any interceptions.

I believe in the Madden Curse. However, with a curse, comes a gift. For some reason, I feel that this year will be the year that the Madden Curse, will become the Madden Gift. Vince Young has been looking good lately, and I look forward to seeing the Tennessee Titans try to make it into the post season.

It's just as strong as the Campbell's Chunky Soup curse

Jerome Bus Bettis
Kurt Warner
Ben Roethlischberger - almost killed in cycle accident
Terrell Davis
MIchael Strahan
Brian Urlacher
Reggie White - DEAD
Matt Hasselbeck

all were hurt or injured same yr as they endorsed or the next season

I don't beleif in anything, but I do believe in literacy.

Until a player survives a season unscathed after being on a Madden cover I will continue believing it. Here's hoping that Vince Young finishes the season in one piece.

Yeah, although I think part of it is in the player that is picked. Come on RBs and Running QBs have a good chance of suffering an injury, and sure enough you get another running QB. Anyway every player that has been on their has gotten hurt or had a bad year. I think it is a self-fulfilling thing too though.

To be fair, Vick took himself down. I don't know how you can put Lewis on this list. He's the on-field qb for one of the best defenses the NFL has ever seen. The rest I agree with.
