Lomatar - who cares what colour his skin is. Never heard of the "Black Irish"?
He could be the ancestor of a mixed union of a white slave holder of Irish decent / name and a female slave. Look up Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemmings.
His family also could have come from the Caribbean, where alot of White Irish indentured servants (especially during /after the Irish Potato famine/genocide) worked and lived together w/ African slave labour and had offspring.

i am of Scots-Irish and Anglo-Norman descent, and also french.
if my family emigrated to south africa instead of America and they changed their last names to van de veers, i couldna care less....
i am thankful that they came here instead, though!!!!!!!!!
