A boy is circumcized when he is eight days old. That is also the day they announce the boy's name.
When the boy is 13 years old, he has his Bar Mitzvah.
Only girls who are NOT orthodox, have a Bat Mitzvah at age 12 or 13. It used to be only age 12, but now has been changed to 12 or 13. Orthodox (very religious ) girls do not have a Bat Mitzvah. This all takes place in a synagogue, not a church. A Rabbi presides.

Tradition says 8 days after birth and it must be done by a Rabbi. A lot of babies are circumsized at the hospital now though. The Bar Mitzva is something to celebrate turning into a man. So it doesn't really have anything to do with it...

Jewish boys get circ'd on the 8th day after birth. Bar Mitzvah is the celebration of becoming an adult. Now, Muslim boys are cut when they become teenagers..........usually between 12 and 16 years of age.

No, we do not circumcise at age 13. That would be considerably more painful.
For the record, its Bar Mitzvah and it occurs at age 13. Circumcision is at 8 days old.
