Do these two coins seem to be errors? One is 1917 and one is 1934

on the 1934 cent if you look closely above the 3and 4 you can see raised lines

They both seem to have damage that was obtained after they left the mint. One coin has some green patina so it may have been in the ground. The round holes are man made after it left the mint. A number of tools could have made the lines. I do wish the 1934 photo was a little sharper so if I could see if the lines are indented or raised like the date. With the error craze going on, you will notice a lot more error questions here. Most have damage that occured after a coin left the mint. There are far more damaged coins than error ones. Best I can do here.
