Let's say person M (for murder) and person A (for adultery) are married. Person M treats person A very well, but person A has an affair anyway. Person M finds out, and is so mad that person M kills person A.
Which is worse? Person A's adultery, or person M's murder of person A? Despite the question's title, the question isn't whether or not it's entirely justified, but just which is worse.
Suppose person M had some reason for not wanting to just divorce person A. Maybe person M didn't want to have to lose or share custody of the kids.

Disregard the legal consequences. It's just a hypothetical question.

easy question, depending on the circumstances person A's actions can very easily be worse and M killing A can be justified.... under the right circumstances.

Murder is a whole lot worse than adultery. They are both serious mistakes though, but the consequenes for murder is so much worse. Person A has betrayed someone who loved them very much, which is a terrible thing to do. But Person M ended someone's life. No matter how unfortunate the situation is, there is never a reason to do that (except maybe if yours or someone elses life is in danger).

Good Lord, it's a soap opera.....As the Stomach Turns. Blechhhh!
Lots of problems here, lots of ignorant choices and violent actions, no problem solving skills, no reasoning, just acting out like angry ill developed children where somebody winds up dead. Which is worse? neither, they're both NUTBURGERS and too immature to raise children.
No reason justifies adultery, no reason justifies murder.
Lots of married relationships have problems and the parties work through those problems with adult communication. Lots of people do not murder one another.
There is no adult reasoning involved. It's purely a situation that has developed from people with no maturity, no character development or boundaries to their own actions, or moral compass if they would either one resort to the actions that they did. Neither one should ever have kids or custody of them.

The assumption that bought loyalty is lasting is an absurdity in 1) the need for love, and 2) the need for a better paying briber. My other 'observation' is that M' does not kill A's new mate; that would be the more 'natural' or coherent negation; kill the competition, not the prize. Anger is reasonable to anticipate, but hatred needs anger AND fear; why hatred, why murder. It is not unusual or unheard of, that a suicide follows such a murder. Such a murder would be hypocrisy.
The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.

The murder, of course, is worse. A murdered person cannot be brought back, but an adulterer can be forgiven.
Adultery does not necessarily mean the end of the marriage. Murder does!

i cant imagine what i would do if my girlfriend cheated on me, and if we were married, it would be a much worse feeling, but out of everything, i dont think i could ever imagine her not being alive even if she did cheat on me because personally, just the fact that she is alive is enough to make me happy. but lets say it was one of my friends she cheated on me with, and that friend knew that she was with me, then i would definitely make him regret living. find a way to make him lose his job, his credit, his apartment/house, etc and then ask him if it was worth it. And with her, I would probably just make sure everyone in the world knew she was a whore. make a website just for her, telling about how she is a whore so any guy that ever googles her name will see that. I would also let everyone in her family know. and then of course, ask her how it feels to lose everything she loves just to have sex with someone else.
But i wouldnt kill either of them. death is too easy, i like ruining someones life for being a piece of **** personally. dont do anything illegal, just show them that it wasnt worth it to destroy someone elses world.

I think adultry is worth because murder is one of the most honest things a human can do. Adultry is very spiteful.
However, I do not consider killing sb for adultry justified.
If I experience the case you proposed I would be content with divorce.

It is never justified to deprive another human being his or her life. Person M should get over the fact that he chose the wrong partner.

The best way to resolve that problem is to wait until there in bed together and then walk in on them. Draw your firearm and shoot them both. When the police come, act distraught and say that you thought the man was raping/killing your wife and you shot at the perpetrator to defend your wife's life. Unfortunately you are a bad shot and accidentally shot your wife in the process. Please don't try this. This is a law enforcement training joke.
