Last year (2006), she was really in her best form ever, winning so many tournaments easily. This year, she was still in her top form in the Australian Open. she reached her peak in Semi-final when she defeated Clijsters convincingly. That was one of her best match ever. But after than everything went wrong. In the final, Serena trashed her and until now, her results are inconsistent and she can't really get back to her best form yet. What's wrong with her?

The same thing that is wrong with Anna Kournikova and Elena Dementieve: she's got the "yips" on her serves and basically will either double fault or serve weakly on important points. That ain't going to cut it against any decent player.

I watched her match between Azarenka in the Kremlin cup 2007, and she didn't do anything special! She made poor serves, she wasn't agressive, etc. No wonder she lost! But I guess that's just because she's not in a fit condition right now, knowing that she's currently having a shoulder injury 2007 has been quite a bad year for her, she didn't perform well in Grand slams like Wimbledon & Us Open. lets just hope she quickly recovers

Sharapova is not longer a fresh face in tennis and players have figured out how to play against her, and this has really affected her confidence. It doesn't help that she hurt her shoulder and her serve has suffered. Her first two opponents in the US Open were less than mediocre tennis players, when compared to other professional tennis players. She should feel lucky to win any match.

Tasks need concentration and commitment to be won and this is no different in a tennis match. The girl lost both the commitment and the concentration on her game and that shows in her matches. It seems these days that she spends more time in changing boyfriends than prepare for the tournaments

Well, she has been having some shoulder problems lately. And she does seem to have problems playing against people (read Serena) that can return her power with more of their own.

She's been struggling with injury to her shoulder the past year, and because of that she has had to change the motion of her serve.
