I have to move by the third ( tomorrow) Our landlord sold the house we have to move. We were only given ten days to move and I have alot of kids with me. I also have to border 2 dogs somewhere that I can trust for 2 months. We are working only enough to move on and a house. We have all the stuff for both dogs already but don't have the money for one of those kennels. Plus we need to find a house in an area close to my husband work here in Joplin, Missouri. So if anyone knows of a house between 3 to 4 or 5 bedrooms in a $600 to $800 range let me know.

Ask your landlord to pay for your move. He should have told you when he put the house up for sale so you could start looking for a place to go. Try Craig's list to try to find a place. If you don't move the new owners can't move in so your landlord should make sure you can move even if he needs to pay you $1,000 to help you,

Do not move or allow the landlord to bully you, Let him take you to court or evict you, but even then if you have a lease they must stick to it, they have to give you time to move, it doesnt simply work like that where they tell you you got 10 days to move.

At least 30 days and you can fight that if you cant find a place to stay.
If he tries to lock you out call the police this is illegal, make sure u keep a copy of your lease, and rent receipts on you at all times to prove u live there.

dont just go, why should you be forced out.wait till u find some where else first. there are laws to protect you.
thanks

First reasonable notice must be given by either party in a lease weather it be written or verbal. Ten days is not reasonable. Your landlord should be covering some costs and should have made a deal with you prior to signing on the dotted line. Do not be pushed around , demand funds to move out or tell him to give you written reasonable notice per the lease or a minimum of thirty days. You will see a quick change when it is the landlord sees you are not going to be played or taking advantage of. You must look out for you and yours... Good Luck !!!
