The meaning of life is to have and enjoy experiences. Without life, nothing could be experienced.... birth, growth, fun, boredom, love, hate, death...... are all things we get to experience while we're alive. We may need these experieces after death or we may not... either way at least life has allowed us to have them. We can live meaningful lives by experiencing and enjoying as much as we can while we're alive. We can also help others to have their own experiences as well. By doing this and by starting families we can be remembered... the memory of our live's experiences can be infinite...

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.
I've come to two conclusions recently:
1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.
First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.
Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.
So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.
To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

The meaning of life depends on your view. For some people life is merely collecting memories-and to live a meaningful life they would collect many. For others the meaning of life is knowledge, and the collect as much of it as they can. Yet others life has no meaning and we just pass through then die.
So you have to find your meaning to life and then fullfil it to the best of your abilities.
To me the meaning of life is- the last second that you are truly alive to be able to look back on all your pass years and be satisfied and content. So I try to be the best I can, to affect as many lives as I can, and to be happy.
If you set your goals in matter of importance you'll find your meaning for your life.

I believe that is a question we will never truly know. Many believe that the meaning of life is something spiritual. As for myself, I don't know. But for the most part, I believe we are put on Earth for some reason, and whether we know it or not, we fufill that purpose. "The purpose of life is a life of purpose". Instead of figuring out the meaning of life, people should just live life itself. There is no use of dwelling on this question and forgetting to live. But suffice to say, quoting a Native American proverb, "When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced, live your life in a manner so that when you die the world cries and you rejoice."

You have to make your life meaningful. First for yourself and then for somebody else. For your spouse, children. The meaning of lives is to maintain life. Why? Because it's fun!

love is the meaning of life...as for myself, the way i try to live a meaningful life is by following Christ's two commandments-love God with everything you have, and love your neighbor as yourself...i stumble more often than i care to admit, but i just keep trying

your first qustion is really hard, but the second one... you decide if your life is meaningful. if you've done a lot and and made quite a difference is meaningful, or maybe you can provide yourself of some other definition of meaningful. its up to you.

The meaning of life...chica, is to find out what God's purpose is for you and then fullfill it. Do all you can for him and for others and you will have an amazing life. We all have a purpose, and a gift...and it is to bring as many people to hi mas we can. Trust me..I was once a miserable atheist ...but now...well...I am as happy as ever. Try it for yourslef Chica, :)
Love,
Shannon
