some people say yes some people say no, depending on your feet's condition, but i just bought some eastview shoes that are like the dansko but usually cost 20 bucks less than the danskos and got them on sale for 15 dollars at jcpenney's. i'm so happy, i've been wanting some danskos but couldn't afford them.

YES - if they work for your feet, that is.

Everyone is different. I used to work in a store that sold Dansko clogs. I could NOT wear them. I have a somewhat flat foot, so the "arch support" in the clogs, to me, felt like I was stepping on a ball. Horrible.

But for many people, they swore by them and said they were the most comfortable shoe ever. It was obvious they were really high quality.

Then this year I was searching for a nice sandal. Something stylish looking that would ALSO be comfortable, not cause me blisters, and hold up (unlike so many other pairs of $30 sandals that fell apart after only a few weeks.)

I settled on these Dansko sandals:

Wow!!! I can't say enough about them. My fiance is probably sick to death of hearing me go on about how great my shoes are!. They are the ONLY shoe I have worn since this spring. They are the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned, and they are HEELS!

They are holding up wonderfully. They aren't even scuffed. And I've gone everywhere in these. The heels are not worn down... at all! They look brand new. The leather straps are amazingly soft.

The only problem is, since I've had them on practically 24/7 with bare feet... they are starting to get a little stinky. :-) I just bought some Odor Eaters spray today, hopefully that will do the trick!

Now I'm really sold on the quality and comfort of dansko shoes (although I still can't do the clogs. They just don't work for my feet.) so I'm going to be trying on some of their other shoe styles for fall.

If you find some that are comfortable for you, GO FOR IT! They are really worth the investment!

i can only vouch for their sandals. i have the dansko lolita sandals and some flip flop type sandals. I can walk for miles in them and never have hurt feet. My mom swears by their regular shoes. They are great if you do a lot of walking or standing.

Though I don't really consider Danskos all that expensive. I have spent a lot more on Kenneth Cole and other shoes at Nordstroms. Mephistos are better for comfort, but cost twice as much as dansko.
