The car is 62 nova has been primed over the old paint.I dont know what kind of primer is on it.I want to paint primer over the old primer then paint it with some kind of paint.Just wondering what the best way to go would be.

Think of the primer as the paper on which you want to paint. Use shitty paper get a shitty pic. My thought is if you dont know what you've got do a quick scuff and use a primer sealer over itthen sand and paint. Ofcourse if there is already to much paint on the car it might be worth sanding it back down and starting over. In either case if you live somewhere close a Napa Auto parts most deal in automotive paints from Martin Senour and have a specialist on staff who can assist you.
