No. The Democrats are telling you that our military are doing nothing more than raping women and killing babies. They also say the battle in Iraq (part of the Global War on Terror) was lost.
If they are allowed to stop funding they'll be right!
Stopping using our loved ones; calling them rapists, to get votes!

You do realize Bush cannot run for President in 2008 don't you?
If you don't like the way the occupation of Iraq is going and you wish to do something about it you can begin by becoming an active part of the electorate i.e. calling your local Representative and State Senators and talking to them directly, attending local town hall meetings and so on.
As far as the Democrats being *better* in dealing with integrity, truth and the Iraq war... I am not exactly sure what you mean by this. Are there those in Congress (democrat and republican) that lose their straight-fowardness and integrity somewhere along the way? YES!
House Representatives and Senators don't handle *wars* - what they do is the represent the will of the people (us) and act as its collective voice. If *we* the people get behind a war hungry president and proclaim *we* like he believe that war is the answer then our chosen Representatives and Senators authorize war.
Our Congress is also there to provide oversight of the war and they are also charged with holding those who actually deal with the war accountable and responsible wherever and whenever there is failure, deception and costly (deadly) mistakes in the execution of war or with our returning veterans.
If you believe the Republicans were *better* at all this when they were the majority, well then you have your answer.
If you believe Democrats have been *better* at all this since having gained their slim majority over Republicans, well again, you have your answer.
I think those who can remove their own ego's from this question and just answer from a place of honesty know what the answer is here.

Here's something that neither the government nor the mass media have reported:
The Iraq Freedom Congress (http://www.ifcongress.com/English/index.htm ) is a libertarian, secularist,non-violent, democratic, and progressive group that opposes Ba'athism, Islamism, and nationalism -- as well as the US invasion/occupation.
The Iraq Freedom Congress has organized a self-defense Safety Force that patrols neighborhoods in Iraq (population: 5,000) and has reduced sectarian violence there to zero. However, far from supporting this effort, US forces have assassinated the head of these Safety Forces (http://tinyurl.com/25yknr ).

I would definitely recommend against voting for Republicans (except possibly Ron Paul) or Democrats (except perhaps Dennis Kucinich).

Ladies & Gentlemen of the United States of America- do you know what the first three words of the United States Constitution are? Remember, this document is the SUPREME law in this country, we are ALL obliged to obey it & defend it. So what are the first three words? "We the people..." So the "government" is US! No, we're not a true democracy in that the people rule, we are a representative democracy in that we elect representatives to enact legislation FOR us. But ultimately WE are the ones responsible for US. So our political leaders don't tell us the truth? Are we honest with ourselves? Are we honest w/ our neighbors? The whole entire mess in Iraq is OUR fault. Too many of us waved the flags & got all patriotic in the aftermath of Sept. 11, and just went along w/ Bush's arguments for attacking Iraq (remember weapons of mass destruction & imminent threat?). Our representatives in Congress, both parties, primarily followed the majority sentiment: support Bush, attack Iraq. I'm ashamed of my country & my fellow Americans for EVER, EVER supporthing this horrific mess. I opposed it from the BEGINNING because I KNEW Saddam Hussein was NO threat & that there were NO WMD or ties to 9/11. It didn't take a Phd to figure this out. I have seen people die of gunshot wounds, knifings, car wrecks- young people leaving behind devistated families & loved ones. I knew too many families would lose a loved one in this war & that it was not worth their pain & suffering. I'm ashamed I didn't do enough to stop this. I protested, wrote to my representatives in Congress. But I could have done more. To the men & women of our armed forces: I am sorry. I did not do enough for you. I take the blame. It's my country. To the people of Iraq: I am sorry. My country did this to you. The government of incompetants, crooks, & religious zealots that you currently have is one initially supported by my country. We are going to abandon you. I am sorry.

Ofcourse not, but,! we as civillians, will never know the truth. I have learnt to read between the lines with politics, I don't believe a half of what they tell us! I also think that any politician is to blame....we haveto just shut up and take it.... I will be voting for Howard these elections...Bush and Howard have toughed it out during the terrorists attacks and I feel best staying with those who have been there from 2001 and upward, cheers.

No way! and it will go on and on until certain people get enough money in their off shore accounts. Is it another Vietnam? No,I did three tours there, and that war was started because of stupidity. The Iraq war was planned a long time before 9/11,and it is about power and greed.

No, we as Americans are NOT told the thruth about Iraq..or for alot of other important things. If you want to know the whole thruth...go to another country where they openly tell the thruth about american politics.
What should we do? Stand up and be counted. Make the representives we elect be responsible for what they do or dont do. If they dont, then people should cause a stink. Freedom of speech! Heck NO....Bush has to go,....in my humble opinion. As far as an honest politician...I dont think they exist anymore.
In England..every week the PM has to show up to the House of Commons...to answer questions. On a Wensday..every Wensday. And it is televised. How well do you think that would go over here? Having the president show up EVERY week to answer questions about how well he was or wasnt doing his job? LOL aint gonna happen any time soon that is for sure.

Boy you people sure are stupid. The government never has and never will tell us everything about ANY war. And the words Democrat, integrity and truth do NOT belong in the same sentence. Who was the last Democrat president with truth and integrity? 1940's? maybe?
