No Mets pitcher has ever thrown a perfect game. No Mets pitcher has ever thrown a no-hitter. The closest was Tom Seaver, with 8 1/3 innings of perfect baseball on July 9, 1969 at Shea Stadium. Chicago Cubs outfielder Jimmy Qualls singled to break the perfect game, and the no-hitter, with one out in the 9th inning. It turned out to be the only baserunner allowed by Seaver in the game.

There have only been 7 perfect games thrown in the National League and none of them were done by the Chicago Cubs.
However, Sandy Koufax threw a perfect game against the Cubs in 1965.

the answer is no. the cubs have had 5 no hitters but no perfect games. woods 20 k performance was in early may 1998. He was in his 8 career start and ricky gutiterrez hit the ball off the shortstops glove and called a hit when it should have been a error. It ended up a one hitter.

I could throw a perfect game against the Cubs they suck. The pitching machine comment was a classic though.
Yea and continue to hold on to the fantasy that Woods might be a good pitcher again some day, maybe Prior will make a come back too, How about Fergie Jenkins. The list goes on but unfortunatly none have pictched a perfect game cause they all SUCK.

No.
-----
ed. One Cubs pitcher did come verrrrrry close, however. On 02-Sept-1972, Milt Pappas no-hit the Padres at Wrigley. He was perfect for eight innings.
In the ninth:
CF Jeter lined out to left. (Yes, really -- Johnny Jeter.)
C Kendall grounded out. (Jason's papa Fred.)
Perfect for 8 2/3...
Stahl pinch-hit for the pitcher.
Pappas got to 3-2 on Stahl... and pitched Ball Four.
Jestadt then popped out to second, and Pappas got the no-hitter, but the perfecto slipped away by the slimmest of margins, 35 years ago today.
