I know how important success is to you Bushco suppporters, so with the Brits leaving Basra, can you please volunteer to take up the slack and prevent Iran moving into southern Iraq?

Addressing your Q's to conservatives now? Why Humanist? You've told us we're not welcome to answer your questions in your profile. You used to be a fairly decent person and ask some fairly intersting questions. You're just hateful now. And to answer your Q--we have enough troops as the surge is working well. But thanks for asking.

They would spout a lot of bluff and bluster about how they would if they could but they can't or they won't and double dog dare anyone who questions the sainted Georgie to go in their places. That I think is the main idea, get all the liberal thinkers over in Iraq and let the friendly fire get them. Oh, and Love the Freedom Watch commercials, how ALL the military personnel are standing rank and file behind Bush and his war. Having had someone near and dear in the Middle East recently, I know that not all the military fall lock step behind him and question why they are there. They don't question their patriotism or the fact that they enlisted and are following orders, they question the fact that a moron is the Commander in Chief. If all the military is behind him, why is the peace organization Veterans for Peace growing in leaps and bounds.....members are former enlisted personnel NOT making commercials for the current administration.

"You can always hear the people who are willing to sacrifice somebody else's life. They're plenty loud and they talk all the time. You can find them in churches and schools and newspapers and legislatures and congress. That's their business. They sound wonderful. Death before dishonor. This ground sanctified by blood. These men who died so gloriously. They shall not have died in vain. Our noble dead."
Dalton Trumbo, Johnny Got His Gun

"The point of public relations slogans like "Support our troops" is that they don't mean anything... That's the whole point of good propaganda. You want to create a slogan that nobody's going to be against, and everybody's going to be for. Nobody knows what it means, because it doesn't mean anything. Its crucial value is that it diverts your attention from a question that does mean something: Do you support our policy? That's the one you're not allowed to talk about."
Noam Chomsky

"To initiate a war of aggression ... is not only an international crime, it is the supreme international crime, differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole."
International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg, Germany - 1946

"A patriot must always be ready to defend his country against his government."
Edward Abbey

"The men and women who enlist in this country's military [should] be told the truth that they are not protecting the United States, they are and always have been protecting corporate interests."
Chante Wolf

I would volunteer today, if they would take old men with arthritis.

And yes, I did do my duty when I was not old and arthritic.

Sorry, I'm too old. I did serve 14 months in Vietnam in the Infantry so, maybe it's your turn. I'm sure there's a recruiter somewhere waiting to make a man out of you.

That's not very likely. They have more important tasks.
These conservative hero's who are treated so harshly by liberals are true patriots who defend their country against danger in these troubled times. And what better way to do your patriotic duty than to answer questions on a website?Take that al quaida! You may not like them but they truly are hero's.Some enlist and go to Iraq and Afghanistan putting their lives on the line for your and our freedom. But some brave men and women do even better than that. They are HEREon answers ,where it really happens, to protect America from liberal viewpoints.God bless them

No. They will only volunteer for the difficult task of placing a ribbon on the back of their vehicle. Even a $40 enlistment bonus can't entice a neo-con into going to Iraq.
