I saw on teh travel channel that this is hte biggest, best and most exciting McDonald's in the world. The birthday party package is $59 WITHOUT the food for 10 people.. I was thinking or doing it but I wondered if anyone had experience/advice regarding it? We will be in Orlando for my 6 year old daughter's birthday. Seems pricey..?

No, not the one in downtown Disney.. this one is connected to a giant playland and has the McDonald characters around.. or so it looked on t.v.

To be honest, I don't think it is worth the price. Other than being larger, having a bigger play area, etc. it is still a McDonalds. The food is the same, service is the same, etc.
It is definitely a fun place for kids to go and I'm sure she would have a great time. However, for the cost, I think you could do something much more special.
Since she is only six, she is the perfect age for Princess'. I'm not sure if that is something she is into, but if she is you could have a really special birthday for her. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in the World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney is a really great place to take little girls and make them feel like a Princess. It is a very unique experience. It may be a little more than you are wanting to spend, but rather spending the money on McDonalds food and games, you would give her an experience she would never forget. This month (should be on the 10th) they will also be opening one in Cinderella's Castle at Magic Kingdom. Of course, this would just make the experience even more magical to be in the castle.... The benefit to Downtown Disney is that you wouldn't have to pay for admission, so on the day you use your tickets you can use it for actual park time.
Another suggestion would be to take her to a character meal. If you are wanting to stick with the Princess theme, Cinderella's Royal Table is a lot of fun but does book pretty fast (most character meals do) You also have Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, Princess Story Book, etc. There are many choices, you may need to be more flexible depending how close you are.
I will include some links with some info for you to look at... Again, these are just my suggestions. McDonalds would be fun, but I really don't think it is anything out of the ordinary (I agree with the other answer that the service is really slow and it is also packed most of the time)
Hope this helps
I hope you have a wonderful trip and an extra magic time for your daughters birthday!

I'm sorry to say this, but as a local I must tell you that it's mostly a tourist trap. While it is in fact a larger-than-average McDonalds with extra decor, too much hype, and a bigger playground, it's still a McDonalds and nothing more. The menu is the same, the food is the same, and the service is the same.
I personally prefer the McDonalds Bistro if your looking for a special McDonalds experience. There is one on Sand Lake Road just a few blocks west of this McDonalds. McDonalds Bistro is basicially an upscale McDonalds with an expanded menu which includes chef-prepared items and a nicely decorated seating area that resembles a nice restaurant. The building has two levels, the actual restaurant is on the first and theres an arcade on the second.
The best McDonalds location in Orlando is the McDonalds near the Mall at Millenia in the Super Target plaza. My personal favorite McDonalds as a local.
Whatever you choose. Have Fun!

My daughter lives there, she is attending school there and she called me from there Friday. I have a picture of all three of my children there from last month, the whole experience was worth the nightmare of taking 3 kids to Disney. BTW, everything there is pricey, her rent is $1199 for an apartment! That is what you can expect from a resort area...

the price is ok. I would say it is not that great. Well it depends, like do wantit to be expensive or a medium price or a cheap price. If you want it to be an awesome birhtday without the care of what the price is, then I would say go for it. It you want something that is a ok price then you should make a place a little bit less costly, but if you want cheap then don't go there.
Hope this helps. :)

Of all the McDonald's that I've ever been to, that one has the slowest and worst service. I've been there 3 different times at 3 different times of the year.

the mcdonalds you are talking about is at the intersection of international dr. and sandlake blvd. I live about 10 mins away from it but have never been there for a party, but it is quite the place and kids seem to like it.
