Even if the person did something really serious?

Yes, I give them... But it depends on if they are truly deserved. I am a really nice person, but I won't let people have a third chance. Once someone screws up with me and hurts me so bad, they will never be back in my life again. Never.

My ex did this, and I hate him. I will always hate him. :)

Depends on who they are and what they did. With that said if my wife or my best friend did something serious and they showed that they were really sorry and asked for forgiveness then I would give a second chance. But you can't give a second chance casually and expect that they will not do it again. So keep that in mind.

This is almost impossible to answer because of three reasons: (1) we don't know what the offense was, (2) we don't know what your list is of unforgivable offenses, and (3) we don't know if the offender is genuinely sorry for this offense or is giving you the feeling he or she could be a repeat offender. Follow your instinct and remember if you give this person a second chance, truly follow through and mean it--don't hold their crime or sin over their heads. See if they mean they are sorry and you can only determine that by their behavior. On the other hand, if you can't get that crime or sin out of your brain, move on without them and don't look back.

I always give second chances sometimes even more, but they always depress me even more after they mess up again. I wish I'll find a girl that I'll have a good relationship with a girl thats not like a rollercoster. I hope you'll also find that right person for yourself because my school it's filled with dumb ugly people thank god this is the last year for me. Here give one last chance if he messes up You'll know what to do from there ciao.

I try to assume best intent when something happens, so I almost always give the person a second chance. If the same behavior is repeated over and over again, though, then I don't keep forgiving.

Depends upon the person, if an old friend i would give a second chance but minus the trust.

I usually do. But it also depends on the issue at hand and the person asking for the second chance.

depends like if its a marital thing like him/her is abusive then no, but other than that sure, just like that other person said God gave us a second chance... Only if you give the person a second chance and they just like keep doing what you tell them not to do then i'll start to think otherwise

Really it depends on what the person did. But I do believe everyone deserves a second chance..
