As someone who hires employees for a large company, I can tell you that a University of Phoenix degree is a serious red flag and in many cases your resume will be thrown out the second someone sees it. There is a major negative bias against the University of Phoenix in the business world and you are much better off taking online courses from an established university.
There are many individuals who will defend the school, saying that it is a good education, but the fact is that employers look at it as a joke and will not hire you, and that's really the only thing that matters.

No "degree" from a school without certification is taken seriously. You might learn something but it will not be honored by anyone who figures out the source of that degree.

No, it is not being honored unless you are already employed in the field you are seeking to get the degree in. Be careful
