America is the best and most comfortable place in the world. so stop crying and enjoy it for a change. Even our welfare rolls have more oportunity than Europeans.

Because Americans have become lazy. We expect something for nothing because there is always a politician willing to take it from one and give it to another.

So one should be happy with what one has, and should not try to make his world better ? Bah ! Just because we live in the greatest nation in the world does not mean that the government gets a pass on things that someone perceives as wrong. If Hitler made the lives of the majority of Germans better, did that mean that they should have been happy and realized how lucky they were, and never concerned themselves with their government's genocidal tendencies and dreams of world conquest ? I think not.
Keep watching American Idol, and focusing on what Miss Teen South Carolina doesn't know, and be oblivious to what is really happening in the world if you wish. I for one, will not.
Everyone in this country has a right to speak their mind, even if their ideas seem "fringe" to others. Just because you disagree with them is no reason to call people names.

I've several times offered to help with the costs of traveling to Venezuela, and trying to post anti-Chavez crap on-line. I also offered to help bring their bodies back to America - but no one will take me up on it.
Americans who say that are the epitome of the Ugly American. I honestly don't know why those types stay here - they should leave, and make room for the people who *want* to come here.
There's a reason people are literally dying to get into this country...pretty pathetic to be enjoying the benefits and whining about them at the same time.

Agreed. We are just spoiled rotten, when you have traveled the world as much as I have, you understand what we have at home, is the best place on the planet. We also have Greed, enough is not enough, we always want more.
