Of course they do! Havent you seen whales and dolphins? Mermaids are mammals. whales and dolphins feed their young with milk too. Just because you didnt look for the hole doesnt mean its not there!

Well you can either be a human or a mermaid, you have to choose and sacrifice. Just wave your magic wand and say make me a mermaid, and you loose your legs and your voice, and instead gain a big wet tail, and less then well endowed assets, but why worry about it, after all it is not as if you want to attract a man, and a merman would be satisfied with what you have, I am sure. Oh you might not be able to turn back to a human if you realize that this is not for you, cause you would have lost the ability to talk, therefore conjuring spell will be difficult. So think carefully.

The mythology of mermaids and sirens and other sexy sea creatures came from cultures of lots of men who were stuck out at sea for long periods of time with no women. So naturally, they'd be endowed with features that that men missed most.
Also, there's a theory that some depictions of mermaids were inspired by manatees (dugongs/seacows), which nurse their young while floating on their backs with breasts that do look rather like human breasts (even if the rest of the creature is pretty unappealing to most human men).

HA! I never thought of that! Of course, all I know about the legendary mermaid is what I saw in Disney's cartoon, so perhaps it's possible that mermaids DO actually have the anatomy to give birth? Hmmmmmmm.......

they do have the anatomy to give birth to live offspring.... it's a common misconception among human beings that the two rounded lumps on their chests are breasts.... in fact they are their ovaries and the mer-babies spring forth from between the two fins on the end of the tail....
i hope that helps you out

Mermaids are the culmination of Marine mammals and a half drunk, lonely sailors imagination. But if they were real they would give birth like whales or dolphins and instead of inverted nipples to feed their young it would be like nursing a human infant.

I will enlighten your mind with various views and truths
the one that does spring to mind is
"an Eve figure overlaid with the cult of the Virgin, a sealed vessel enclosing either sexual temptation or sexual virtue, or some paradoxical and potent mixture of the two.
