I have some questions, i bought Guild Wars Nightfall like 2 weeks ago, but my video card couldn't stand it (Intel 8245G Graphics Controller of 64Mb), so I'm planning on buying a nvidia geforce series 7 video card (7600 GS PCI of 256Mb or 7300 LE of 128MB to be precise) so i wanted to know if it's good enough to run Guild Wars. I'm using a Dell OptiPlex GX260 with a processor Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.0 GHz and 1 Gb of RAM. So the questions are:

1. Is my pc good enough to stand the video card?

2. Is the video card good enough to run the game(I don't want it to run at high performance, just run it good medium or low quality i don't care) because with mine it keeps crashing since it's not good enough?

3. Are there any other good video cards that are same price or near to that (7300 LE is $35 and 7600 GS is $65)?

4. Also, is it too difficult to install it?

k, so those are my questions, i would thatnk u a lot if u can answer them :P

Onboard graphics of 845 chipset is SLOW and does not support DX9. 845 chipset usually supports 4X AGP.

1. Processor is decent enough to support 4X AGP cards.

2. Your current onboard video is outdated, slow and not good for current games.

3. 4X AGP interface will limit graphics performance. 7300LE sucks, 7300GS AGP or 9600 Pro would be better. 7600GS AGP would be great.

4. NOT difficult to install. On board video is automatically disabled once you plug in a graphics card. Follow step by step:

1. Yeah , you should have no problems to install it but make sure your mother board have a PCI-Express interface.
2. For the 7300 LE , thats a real weak card. I bet it will run that game but it will run it SLOWLY.
Go for the 7600 GS. Its way better than 7300LE.
3.I don't memorize prices. But I bet if you spent the same 65$ on an ATI card you would get a slightly better performance one than the GeForce. ( I have an X1950 PRO which is the same price of the 7900 GS yet my x1950 sends it to dusk )
4.No its not , unplug your power supply and install the card on its place in the PCI-e place in your mobo then when you load windows , insert the CD given with your card and install it. Nothing hard.

Hope that helps :)

1 you need to make sure your computer has a PCI-Express x16 slot otherwise the card will NOT work. any computer that has a pci-express x16 slot can handle whatever you shove in there.
2 you need to check the system requirements for the game if you need check this link out it: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest and select the game.
3 check newegg.com for the exact specifications you are lloking for in price range.
4 no you need to install the drivers though otherwise it won't work, for the installation all you need to do is shove it into an open PCI-Express x16 slot.

4 mhz cpu, i think of you advise ghz by using fact ram runs in mhz, except you have the oldest pc in the face of guy type, in any case, are not getting a 7 series gpu, they previous and run at 0.5 the fee of a 9 or 8 series card. Get something alongside the traces of a 9600gso($70) or an 8800/9800gt($a hundred-a hundred and fifty), honestly max out those video games at a decision of 1280x1024.
