I think people WANT to believe in it, so they do. It makes all of life's injustices much easier to bear. I'd love to believe in it.. I really hope it does exist..
But with the positive thoughts thing, psychology would probably dictate that by thinking positively, you feel more confident in yourself that by doing so, you will be successful.. So, in a job interview, you will be more self assured. Getting the guy/girl you wanted is easier because you seem like a confident, happy person. Thats my take on it.

I do not believe in karma. There is no cosmic force at work that makes sure we get what's coming to us or that rewards us for the good deeds that we perform, especially in our next life. But our behavior can certainly affect the way that people treat us. As we live, we plant metaphorical seeds by the way that we act. Those seeds bear fruit in the form of reactions to our behavior. But remember that even bad things may happen to good people and vice versa. But I think that the balance of power shifts in conformity with the seeds that we plant. Be a nasty person, and you generally will receive the same treatment. Karma has nothing to do with it. On the other hand, kind acts tend to beget kind acts.

Yepp, what you often do to others, someone will eventually do it back to you. If you show kindness to another person, as kindness goes a long way, someone will eventually be kind to you when you really need it. It's something like karma I guess, but not entirely. Sometimes it is the natural circumstances that affect you luck or some sort. But that should not hinder you from being good to others. :)

I do believe in karma, and I think that positive thinking certainly influences our decisions and actions.
I don't believe that just thinking positively about passing tests, finding your soulmate, etc. will make them happen.
In my opinion, if you have positive thoughts about, say, passing a test, you'll do your best and pass. If you think negatively and are sure you'll fail the test, however, you won't put in much effort and will do badly.

Basically, that sounds like the Law of Attraction to me. There's something just smacking of karma and do unto others in this statement. I do believe in that notion wholeheartedly. We create our world and ourselves through our thoughts, words and deeds. And we are rewarded accordingly.

Yes I think it is true but have you ever noticed that only people judging other people will say, "What goes around comes around...?" We never apply it to ourselves; it is always used as a warning of retribution intended for someone else.

That's not what the saying means at all. It basically means that the way you treat others is the way that you will be treated.
