Just bought 6 pair of Old Navy jeans online. Didn't know they ran so big. Well, I plan to have them altered to fit. They are way too long so they will have to be seamed. But what alterations can be done about them being too big in the legs? They fit in the waist.

Take them to a Tailor. Or return them and go to Vanity in the mall. They have "custom fit" jeans there. Like my hips are big, my legs are small and to top it off I am vertically challenged.

They have jeans that fit without hassle.

I'm not a seamstress, but my understanding is that it is easier to alter the hem of pants and take it in at the waist, then to alter the legs/ hips. You might be better off buying a style that fits in the legs, and altering the other parts.

Jeans that fit straight along the thigh area are nice to wear with sneakers and a fitted top without looking like a 'tomboy' or whatever. I'd keep a pair. Unless you mean that they really, really, look huge and clownish around the thighs.

Sorry I probably wasn't of any help.

I get this a lot but I usually just live with it. For me best thing is 1. don't buy clothes online for that reason and 2. try on various brands. I am more goth / punk /minimalist in my style but I always get American Eagle jeans because they always fit good

You must have really skinny legs. All the women I see anymore look like their jeans were applied with a paint gun. What we used to call Scheib Jeans after Earl Scheib the king of cheap paint jobs. lol

I don't understand why you bought 6 pairs at once not knowing how they fit. Can't you get a refund?

Apple backside denims are great for great thighs and a small waist. additionally rather lots any pair of denims from the hollow (those constantly extra healthful for me - small waist, great thighs) or any style of stretch denims

well, you can always take them back and buy some that do fit. Old navy pants never fit me right either.
