lead and irog - magnet, iron is magnetic, lead is not
sand and gravel - sieve, sand particles are smaller
sand and styrofoam - water, styrofoam floats
alcohol and water - fractional distillation tube, heat to 98 C, water boils at 100 C, most alcohols will boil at a lower temp, collect vapors, condense in cooler
Nitrogen and Oxygen - expose to unoxidized iron, oxygen will bind to iron, you only have nitrogen left

1. with a magnet which will attract the iron.
2. A seive will separate sand from gravel (assumes sand is finer particle size than the gravel)
3. water - styrofoan will float - sand sinks
4. Distillation
5. Distillation or pressure swing membrane separation.
