If I understand correctly, you have (-3x^2) *(- 4x^2), right?

multiply the coefficients (-3)*(-4) = 12
then add the power 2+2
so the answer should be 12x^4

Remember the rules x^m * x^n = x^(n+m)
and (x^m)^n = x ^ mn
