boy, i miss my ole, yamaha 200... that was a tough ole, 3-wheeler.
we are talking about the 200, that had the shocks one the front-end, 4-stroke,and yellow as a banana arent we??? lol
probably you need a ring job, hopefully all that happened is the rings on the piston has broke letting oil pass the pistons and is burning in the combustion chamber (thus the white smoke). you might be loosing your compression of your combustion chambers into the crank case which will cause the engine not to run.
if you have ran it for a period of time after it has started to smoke then you might have scoured the cylinder walls with the peices of the rings that have broke.
motorcycle shops are rather high, but i have found that small engine repair shops tend to do it cheaper. replacing rings will run you about 100 bux and about 200 if you need honing of your cylinders also. goodluck!!!!

White smoke is a indication of oil burning. If you don't have a lot of money don't take it to a shop because they will need to rebuild the engine to fix the problem.

On two cycle engines, they tend to do that when they're flooded. (too much gas)

Turn the choke OFF.
Hold the throttle wide open and try to start it.

ADDED:
Or the gas in it is old and won't ignite.
