I am looking for a 22 to 32 foot sailboat. I prefer that it be in the water on or by the Gulf Coast. I am looking for a 1970 to 1990. I am looking for a bargain because I live on a fixed income.

Get the smallest boat you can. The problem is not the initial cost... it's the maintenance, parts and dockage. The costs go up as the square of the size. You can have a great 19 - 23 foot trailerable boat and have a great time yourself, or with the family. It will cost you about 1/10 as much to operate and maintain as a 30 foot boat and you'll have more fun. I've had boats from 15' to 45' over the last 30 years. I've learned to keep the smallest possible boat. Other than the penus size problem, it's got many advantages.

I not sure where you live or if you want a fix-up or good condition. But, if you look under Cheoy Lee, I think the last in the list is a fix-up/project boat and may get it for a good price.

It is in Fort Myers, Florida. The seller not give a lot of details, but, you can e-mail or call. Choey Lee is a very nice boat, if, it not rotted to the ground. This one may be a little older than you want. It may be a Hurricane Damage and been sunk, I not know.
This link you can read about this boat, scroll down and find.

The Cheoy Lee above. Depending on condition. It may cost a little to fix up. I have seen Choey Lee boats in good ready to sail condition for $8,000 and up. So, think. Materials and labor (Yours if you able) may cost $5,000. I would not offer more than about $3,500 for the above.
