I am an avid Michigan fan as well and I agree with you 100%. Michigan students knew before the game that Appalachian State had won two consecutive national titles and that the Mountaineers were coming into the game with a thirty game winning streak and with the #1 ranking in D-I FCS (formerly I-AA). People call it the biggest upset ever because Michigan went into the game ranked #5 in the AP rankings and were coming off a strong 2006 season where they finished the season 11-2 and were a top contender for the national championship coming into the 2007 college football season and it was the first time a ranked D-I FBS (formerly I-A) team lost to a D-I FCS (formerly I-AA) team.

Most sports books did not even make a line on this game. I know that the one I use did not. They usually do not when there is a 1-AA team playing.
