Place the pacifier in boiling water for a few minutes to remove germs. I bottle fed my kids, so when I put the bottle parts in the dishwasher I would throw the pacifier in too.

Boil some water in a tea kettle. Over the sink or a glass bowl pour the boiled water over the pacifier. To be better safe than sorry. Boil another pot of water. Stick the pacifier in for at least 5 minutes.

Boiling them is a fantastic way to de-germ them, we also stuck ours in the dishwasher in a specially made container that fit right on the top rack that held small pieces like tippy cup and bottle parts.

A) Boil it for 10 minutes. Make sure theres no hot water left inside the paci before you give it to baby.
B) Rinse under water, then put in a microwave steriliser. They don't cost too much, but they are a *Lifesaver*. Four minutes in the microwave is all you need!
C) Theres some tablets out there...antibacterial ones you can sterilise things in. I feel funny about that though...putting your babies paci or bottle in it, which is toxic...then giving it back.

I just read in a parenting magazine to sterilize it in the dishwasher or boil water if dishwasher is not available.
