BV has a fish type order- you'll definately know if that's what you have.
If the yeast infection medication didn't work it could be an STD. If you are itching inside your vaghina it is probably just the yeast that wasn't killed completely and if you're itching it at all that could cause blood. Be sure to use a 7 day yeast infection medication. The 1 and 3 day treatments rarely work.
Itching inside the vagina can also be herpes. Feel around and see if you can feel any warts. If it is you will have a bad initial feeling and then once you get on medication it can be controlled.
Trichomonas is another one that can cause itching and redness inside the vagina.
If it's on the outside of your vagina it could be crabs and you will need to go into the ER to get medication before it gets worse.
If you're concerned with getting an STD from your boyfriend it may be best if you find someone new. Good luck!

Condoms only cover the penis head and shaft...and sometimes not even the whole shaft. This does a pretty good job for most STD's that spread from bodily fluid, but it doesn't cut it on STD's that spread from skin to skin contact. Herpes can be anywhere on male or female genitalia for example. Also, some STD's can be spread orally which is why a couple should use a condom / dental dam when engaging in oral sex. Along with condom/dental dam use, it's good practice to shower before and after. Most STD's will show signs within a week to ten days, but many do not show signs at all, are mistaken for signs of some other ailment, or show signs some time (even years) later. I tell all couples to practice safe sex, and practice couples testing! Go to the clinic together and get tested for HIV, Herpes, and the urine test STD's. (pretty much everything else). Good luck!

Yes you can get an STD with protected sex. Condoms can break, tear, or have holes. In addition, the condom does not completely cover the penis. Take herpes for example. Sores occur on places other than the penis. Such as inner thigh and towards the anal canal. Vaginal rings pose the same problems. You definitely need to see a doctor ASAP because the sooner treatment starts the better off you are. The good news, is that there are many explanations as to why you are having those systems. Women have complex systems. If you do not have insurance or money, or are embarrased to see your normal doctor, go to the free clinic!!!

you can ABSOLUTELY get an STD even from protected sex. y'see a condom only covers so much. if the infection lies else where it can still be caught. Take herpes for example. still you could just have a vaginal infection. a few causes of BV are
* Having a new sex partner or multiple sex partners,
* Douching, and
* Using an intrauterine device (IUD) for contraception.
Details on BV aren't that clear. so make sure you stay in close ties with your doctor.

You most certainly can still get an STD. You may be allergic to the yeast infection cream. There are kits available at the store to test on yourself and even see if you have a yeast infection. But I would recommend going to the doctors.

Yes, because condoms sometimes break and condoms don't always cover the entire infected area. Plus, just because it's known as an STD doesn't mean the only way to get it is through sex.
Try buying female condoms and using them, they protect more of your body and the likelihood of them breaking is extremely low.

It's possible, don't panic. If the condom was defective it could happen. Just go to the health dept. it could still be a yeast infection that needs antibiotics or something other than an STD. You shouldn't let it go on to long. it could cause worse problems!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, you can get STDs, even when using condoms. Condoms are considered safe sex, not guaranteed. Please continue to use condoms. They are better than nothing.
Make an appointment with your gynecologist, or go to your local Planned Parenthood Clinic. Itching and bloody discharge are not normal.
