Actually yes too both.. When I was younger I saved a guy named shawn's life. It was the 4th of july and we was at the river. There was a lot of drinking going on. I didn't even know who he was at the time. He was really drunk and decided 2 go in to the water I noticed that he was getting too the point where he was having A LOT of trouble. NOT one of his friends was even trying to help him :( so I jumped in the water and helped him back up too the bank :) Would he have died if I wasn't there? That I can not answer but I wasn't gonna wait around 2 find out. And about someone saving my life... My husband saved my life! I was down in the dumps/very suicidal until he came in to my life. I was ready to give up on everyone and everything. Than I met him and I knew things would be better for me :) We still have our problems and fights. I love him more than anything and don't know what I would do without him!

If you count pulling a small child out of a pool, then yes. I also performed the heimlich maneuver on someone choking once.

But, maybe the person would have been okay without my intervention both times... no one really can say for sure.

Once at a child's birthday at party roller-skating rink! I had to do CPR, resuscitation on a mother there who had a seizure. It was scary. I hesitated a few seconds before I got started praying someone else knew how........even though I have to take the classes once a year to keep my professional license, I had never actually used it except on those CPR / First Aid Dummies.
..................but it worked, and all my little nieces and nephews thought I was the "BOMB"!

Yes. I have had to do the Heimlich Maneuver twice. Once to a patient I was taking care of who choked on scrambled eggs and the second time on my husband's aunt who choked on BBQ at a party at our house. Hope I never have to do it again.

Twice
Once by means of CPR until first response could arrive. (It was an accident on a HWY)
Second time was talking someone off of a bridge. They where going to jump into onto the HWY traffic below.

well ... my brother was choking on a grape and I did the heimlich on him and the grape came out and flew like 6 feet across the room .... he was turning purple and wasn't breathing, but as soon as the grape came out, he looked at me like I was an idiot and said, "what did you do that for?" so I don't know if I saved his life or not!
;O)

Yeah, in college, there was a girl who couldn't swim, & she knowingly & foolishly got in the deep end of the pool & started drowning, & I saved her. She called herself trying to prove a point to her friends.
