It's the same thing. You LOVE your true friends. The person you choose to share your life with must be your friend. Because "to love" is to care. Being "in love" is a different thing that doesn't really have too much in common with love. Being in love is a chemical reaction. It's individual for how long you can stay in love with one person. It's the "carzy sex" period, the time when you're wearing pink glasses... When these fall off your nose, that's when the "love" can turn into "friendhip", or more exactly when the being in love can become love. Or you realize that you don't actually like the person and what the hell have you been doing with them all this time. This is very simplified, of course. The best thing you can do is to to try it out anyway :-)

One has absolutely nothing to do with the other. Theoretically, you could have sex with 100 different men and be in love with none of them - while being in love with a person you aren't having sex with. Sex is physical, love is psychological.
