Although I'm not quite old enough to remember the original "Time For Beanie" puppet show, I remember the later animated series with much love and affection. I became addicted to the terrible puns that Clampett scattered all through the show, and knew most of the best dialog by heart:
-Help, Cecil, Help!
-"I'm comin', Beanie-Boy!
-"Nyah-Ah-Ah, 'Tis I, Dishonest John!"
-"How's it going, tall green and gruesome?"
-Whut the heck?--Makes a sea-serpent sore!"
-"I'll be in my cabin if anyone needs me"
-"Ya tall toad!"
-"Before I get sicker, let's start the flicker!"
and I can't plan a picnic without hearing a chorus of mechanical insects from outer space marching and singing,
"Robot ants, Robot ants,
Cotton-picking picnic ants,
With a chew-chew-chomp-chomp,
Chewin'' up your chow,
