It would be, in modern era, Maury Wills, who was as fast as they come, played ss for the Dodgers in 1962-stole 104 bases.

He played shortstop, and Willie Davis, was the Dodger centerfielder. Davis was faster but not as good on the basepaths, were incredible. The ones who broke that record since were Lou Brock, Vince Coleman, Rickey Henderson (all outfielders), but Wills was the first of the 20th century to steal over 100 bases.

1962 was the year the Dodgers and Giants played the last regular season playoff game in the NL. It was one gamre to decide it all, the year the Mets were born.
