I love looking up at the stars.. Somehow it makes me feel so calm and serene.. Just imagining the vastness is quite a scary thought, though - just the fact that space just goes on and on and on is very hard to take in. Surely there must be a start and a beginning somewhere? Watching shooting stars is amazing!

I have often sat and gazed at the stars and planets of our sky. What is rather interesting is that, though I'd been taught in school that all the universe was in movement, It had never appeared to me that there was movement beyond the Moon and Sun though I knew there was intellectually. It was just something I didn't think about.

Then I bought my first real telescope. I set it up for the coordinates of Saturn in hopes of seeing the rings. I did see the rings. I raised my head to look toward Saturn, then looked into the Eyepiece. Saturn was gone. I found it again, and then I spent the night chasing stars and planets about the sky with twisting knobs and grunts.

I guess you could say I learned in my soul that beauty and nature never stands still.

Yes I do often. To look up and see the trillions upon trillions of stars in the nite sky is nothing less than awesome.

In case you weren't aware, there is alot more to what you see up there than you may realize.

Did you know that it is written that every one of those stars have a name that was given to them?

Did you know that there is alot more to just looking up and seeing all those stars that make up all those galaxys that make up the whole universe that the technology of science in astronomy has calculated that the vastness of space is trillions of lightyears across? And that mankind hasn't even been able to measure the whole of the universe because of its unending stretches.

Let me share with you the truth that all of this has not and cannot come into existance of its own but has been created.

It's Creator is Almighty God. Genesis 1:16 ...He made the stars also.
To take it a step further, besides making the stars, He made the Earth and mankind.

Because of sin that has entered the human race because of disobedience from Adam and Eve , God has provided the way for fallen mankind to have a restored relationship with Himself by giving us His only Begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

God provides you eternal life through Jesus' death on the cross if you would just believe and trust Him. Those stars that He made were for your enjoyment.

He is so GOOD !!!

I do love looking up at the moon and stars. I wish I knew the ancient language of the stars themselves.

I've always had a strong connection to the moon. I call her Selene. I could lay on my back for hours just wondering: is there life on other planets? what if there were, would they even bother coming down here to see us? I wonder how many planets are around each star?

I love to do that. Astronomy is one of my favorite hobbies. Sometimes, though, I like so just sit, watch, and think about how much could possibly be out there (and honestly, why humanity thinks it's such a big screaming deal).

On a clear night with no light pollution, watching the sky is one of the most peaceful things I've ever done.

You should see what the constellations look like in the desert. I was in desert of the American South West, it was breath taking, I couldn't believe all the shooting stars.
