i have a 2003 celica, i was spinning the car round and round in first gear and the rpm's were high (7-8). when i stopped there was smoke coming out of the car and everytime i accelerate the rpms go up and the car doesn't move. The car is manual and i have to do the process very slow to get the car going. What's the problem?

What you have here is a combination of a few problems. First of all you probably killed your shift plate and clutch. You could have also hurt your engine. Now i mostly do classics at my shop but on a car this new it may also be something in the computer though i doubt it since it is a manual. although you may have screwed up you rev limiter. it is going to be costly and I wish you the best however it does not look good. Sorry man.

You probably floated the mechanical valve train and
"holed" a piston. Toyota will look at the internal computer and see exactly what RPM the motor blew up at and your mom's warranty will be voided on the spot. I hope you have to pay for getting it fixed!

Buy your own car and learn how to take care of it after you go to college to earn enough money to buy one.

The high rpm has KO the piston and valve man... get it check and repaired...bet the engine oil has been in there for longer than the recommended duration. It must lost its viscosity ...

What's the problem? The problem is "spinning round and round."
Most likely the clutch is gone, but at least you know why.

Sounds like you burnt the clutch face with your antics. They have a hyd clutch and are very small so they don't take a lot of abuse.....George
