I live in the Bay Area, and I sought help from the NAACP to help me with a case that involved my former school, and was told they didn't have the resources {after about 8 months of me sending them documentation}to help me with my case.
{Of course, I wouldn't be able to go into depth on that case, which is being handled with the Department of Education}.
This is interesting because I notice that they take high-profile cases, i.e. the Michael Vick case, and a police case that got the front page on the San Jose Mercury.
As a company that supposedly helps people no matter who they are, and no matter their status, this was disappointing....
Whom would l file a complaint with this company? {The Better Business Bureau already told me they do not handle my type of complaint, which is not a business/consumer complaint}.

Currently, I have been contacted by the office who were sent my claim...
Too, I plan on keeping contact with the newspaper that ran an NAACP article on their front page...{San Jose Mercury}.
Moreover, I have sent a complaint to another organization...{Federal Trade Commission}...
Any place that is in the public eye and is supposed to do a service can receive complaints.
Unfortunately, it seems the NAACP only goes after high-profile cases...and that seems very shady.
No doubt, my claim will take awhile to be handled, but I'm confident it WILL be handled in due time.
