Okay, couple of answers for your.
First off, spellcheck! That will help you no matter how you practice your spirituality. Using 'u' insteady of 'you' is acceptable some places - text messages, IRC chat, online games - but otherwise it won't kill to add the other two letters.
Whether your faith in God and your doing energywork / magic(k) is compatible depends largely on who your God is. For many people using magic is a way to express a closeness with God and are using talents given to them by God. These people tend to understand that the energy they are working with all comes from God/Deity/Spirit.
Christians have a tougher row to hoe. Literalists will look to declamations of 'witchcraft' and say that one should have nothing to do with magic. They say that such things are the work of the devil.
Interesting point here - if this energy is what makes the universe go, it's what gives life and love to all on earth. Doesn't really sound like the work of Satan does it?
Other Christians will look to the example of Christ - a mystic himself - and realize that what he was doing was praising God. These people are happy to combine their energywork with their Christian traditions. They tend not to do it in very conservative or fundamental churches though.
These Christians also realize that spellwork is simply another form of prayer. The 'fundies' have a ball with that statement.
As far as getting someone to like you using spellwork - well now you're getting into ethics. What you're talking about is taking someone's free-will, their right to decision and bending it to yours. Do you really want a relationship with someone who's been coerced to be there. That's not healthy.
Not only that but there's also this thing generally called the 'rule of 3' or 'law of threefold return' which says that whatever your send out comes back to you three times over.
Look at Terry's question right near yours - even that 'three' has a lot broader significance.
And as a final note because I bet you'll ask: there is no 'white' magic nor 'black' magic it all just is.
Blessings,

This may not be easy for you to understand, but you have to go really deep to comprehend what is true magic and how and why it works, if in a particular case it will work at all. (Magical practice is an effort. NO effort GUARANTEES success.)
Truly magic is about influence, influencing both yourself and others. A true practitioner must have the internal resources to manipulate oneself, others, and the situation at hand to achieve the desired aim. The ritual is to sharpen your focus on intent. (But those who are truly gifted or skilled do not even rely on ritual practice.)
Love magic is a very subtle thing. You cannot just burn some candles and speak incantations to affect the object of your desire. Though you may do these things, you must apply yourself, by interaction with the other person, to encourage actuation. It is like a seed that you plant, and then you must nurture it so that it can grow and come to fruition. If you are expecting to throw stars up in his eyes after one night of a private ritual, you'll never see results. That's T.V. and Hollywood. Love magic takes time, patience, participation and commitment. It's, again, very subtle, and very natural too.
Think on these things before you take another step.

Using magic to get someone to like you is often selfish and has very negative effects. If you mean to bring love into your life [not targeted to anyone in specific] then that's fine. But if you want someone specifically to like you, that is going against their free-will and thus will make your spell for selfish, greedy reasons. Magic does not work that way, and if you cast a spell with a selfish reason you will have a negative outcome.
But yes, I've heard of many Christian Pagans, or Christian Wiccans... However, I don't see how it's possible to be both at the same time since Christianity and the Bible both state magic is a sin and thus have fallen from God.

Yes magic is real and you can do both. Witchcraft isn't particular to any religion and so can be used as a part of any religion. However, hon, if your reason to use witchcraft is to force someone to like you, you are looking for the wrong thing. You can't use magic to take away another's free will. It probably won't work anyway and you can get stuck with the negative karma. Research before you try any spells.

Magick is not to be taken lightly. Doing spell work to make someone like you goes against their free will. That will cause them harm, and when doing magick you should always "harm none". Besides it would be much better for that person to like you on their own than something that you have done to them and would know is fake.
As for being christian and believing in magick... Gnostics believe in the Christian God and other people mentioned in the Bible, as well as some of the concepts today's Christians believe in, But they also believe in magick, preform ritual and have many other pagan aspects in their belief structure.
If you study about them, you might be able to decide if their way of believing is right for you.

Since magic is the illusions and sleight of hand practiced by magicians to entertain an audience, near all the answers you have received so far are rather ignorant.
I will take it that possibly you wish to know of the crafts and talents of true Magick. There is no rule as to whatever God you worship or just believe in that has anything to do with most Magick. Why would any God become angry for a person to dowse for water or work at healing. If you have a talent for divination, you can assume that talent came from your God, or not, depending on whether you have a gifting God or not a gifting God.

yes you can do both. God put magic on this earth, for us to use, it even refers to it in the bible. Us being alive is magic. think of the times your grandma\pa or mother and\or father were put in a live threatening situation, but survived. think of the times YOU have had that experience. so us being alive, breathing, seeing the things we do, experiencing the things we do, good and bad, is magical.
and you cant make someone like you, with or without magic. in magik, its considered manipulation, and along with the three fold law, would come back to you worse than the person subjected to it. and why would you want to, there would always be not only the question of trust on your part, but the question of whether he loves you for you or the spell.

Well I have found that if you want to study magick, you cannot be both a christian and a magick user. They kind of clash. I know some people will say that it is possible to have both. However, I knew a guy who was into wicca like no one else, then he turned christian to impress this girl that he knocked up, now he is claiming to be a wiccan again.
I don't think you can do both, but if you have found a way to use magick with the bible, then more power to you. But you should learn more about magick if you really want to get into it.

magic comes in many forms over centuries people have put there own spells and beliefs (heart, body and soul but sadly, some folk think this is to do with the dark side to put it nicely,me nah, its nowt , to do with that side,if it was why did some pray to ....sun,moon,stars,etc, they are still known as gods ) ,, We believe in what we believe in , and no -one should take that away from us if thats how we feel, ok a simple one light a virgin candle (one thats never been used) and look in to the flame and ask away thats one simple way,, But, becareful with the candle put securely on an old saucer , carefully drip some wax from the candle to secure in position, then go ahead( it will stop you worrying about it falling over and keep away from daughts and curtains safety a must...)good luck ...
