I have just read this statistic and cannot believe it. Seven pairs a year? Only 3 bras? I practically buy that a month, who are the ones who are buying less? Surely most women buy more underwear than that. How does M&S stay in business??

Yeah but they are not talking about those of you whom run a business selling yours rather than washing them!
No seriously (didn't mean to offend), I think they are talking averages here (dividing total sales into total number of women) and there is three things I would say about that: Firstly, Not all women wear out their 'briefs' so quickly (some keep them on), secondly, not everyone is more interested in fashion than in the environment and finally of those that are sold are sold to younger women who don't have to have very large reinforced ones (sorry ladies, I guess I'm really in trouble now).
Love the comment about taking them home with you and love the question.....keep up the good work (and the knickers)!

I buy about 8 bras every two years, and probably an average of three panties a year. They last several years, so at any time I'll have 8 decent bras, and 9 - 12 decent pairs of panties.[ no holes or stains, good elastic ].
You buy 36 bras a year? Do you wear one and throw it away?
And 84 pairs of panties? I don't think I've owned that many in my entire life!
Please go through your wardrobe every year or so, and donate anything too big, too small, or you're just tired of it - there are a lot of girls out there who would love to wear nice clothes, but can't afford it. [ too bad they won't take used underwear ].

This must be worked out by dividing the total amount of bras and knickers bought buy the total amount of women in the country, but if you think that figure is low then what would it be if you take away all the bras and knickers bought by cross dressers before you do the calculation

That would probably be an over estimate for my sisters, but not for me I usually buy 2 pairs of briefs per bra - can't have mismatched underwear can we! Obviously I keep my really decent Lejaby etc. longer, but I'd say between us all it probably does average out to that, I just wouldn't want to see the state of it!

I bought 3 bras and 10 pairs of knickers, I don't do that every week but many more that 7 briefs or 3 bras.
Wonder where they got their stats from?!?

That statistic i can believe i buy around that much underwear in a year but thats only because i am so fussy when it comes to finding bras

Good question. I'm big busted and probably buy a minimum of 6 bras a year (they have to work 'hard' to keep me in place!).
As for knickers - again I'd have to say I buy a whole lot more - maybe 30 or so.
So those stats seem very strange to me!

Hmm...I don't buy but maybe 2 or 3 bras a year but I DEFINITELY buy more than 7 pairs of underwear...Probably closer to 50 a year.

Well lately i got my knickers and Bras from m&s. I bought 4 bras and 10 knickers And 5 more from Primark

Surely thats wrong. In the past two weeks iv bought about twenty new knickers maybe more and 3 bra's. Granted it was pay day but still.
