I found a nest in my garage while cleaning it out. The nest is about the size of a hand and is made of twigs and some peices of plastic. It had tiny, white, (cracked) eggs in it that were the size of a pinky finger nail. I was wondering what could have made the nest.

Hard to say for sure...a picture would help. Sounds too large to be a hummingbird nest if it is the size of a hand...hummingbird nests are tiny...much smaller than a hand anyway. I think it could possibly be a wren of some sort. They do often build inside buildings, garages, porches or patios. Not sure where you live, so not sure which species of wrens you would get in your area..there are several different ones. The majority of birds have small white or whitish eggs so they don't really provide much of a clue.

Well it was definately a bird...
I would guess a hummingbird, or a bluejay.. because both of those types of eggs are that size...

, rats don't lay eggs...it would have to be some sort of reptile or bird. Can't be more specific.
